John,
Today, we woke up to yet another school shooting—another senseless tragedy caused by gun violence. Madison, Wisconsin joins the growing list of communities devastated by a loss that should never have happened.
This is a tired story, one that’s written far too often. Families torn apart. Futures stolen. And the heartbreak only deepens each time it happens.
D.C. politics have failed us. Senators like Ted Cruz, bought and paid for by the NRA, will stop at nothing to block sensible gun reform. They’ve proven time and time again that the safety of our children and our communities comes second to the interests of gun lobbyists.
But that does not mean we are powerless.
Real change can start now—at the local level. Ballot initiatives, state-level bills, and grassroots activism have the power to make a difference where Washington has failed. Together, we can chip away at the influence of special interests and demand the gun control measures that will save lives.
Our thoughts are with the families and community impacted by today’s tragedy, but thoughts and prayers alone will not end this epidemic of violence. It’s time to act. It’s time to demand better.
Let’s take back the power and fight for meaningful, life-saving change—starting in our local communities. Join us to stand against gun violence, demand sensible reform, and protect the lives of future generations.
