Schools everywhere should be sanctuaries of safety for our children.

Moms Demand Action

John–

As a mother of four, I live with fear every time my children step out the door. But if there's one place they should always be safe, it's at school.

Though details are still unfolding, two or more people were shot and killed, and at least six others have been shot and wounded, at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin.

Ever since I held my kids for the first time, I knew I had to keep them safe. That's why I'm part of this movement. Thoughts and prayers are not enough: Join Moms Demand Action today.

It doesn't have to be this way—our children deserve better. They deserve to live. And let's be clear: These tragedies are not inevitable.

But right now, going to school means living under the threat of gun violence. In the United States, more than cancer, more than car accidents, guns are the leading cause of death for children and teens.

And tragedies like what happened today are the result of choices made by lawmakers who prioritize gun industry profits over our children's lives.

We are grieving with the families at Abundant Life Christian School whose lives were taken or forever changed today. We cannot allow our children to continue to live with this constant threat.

The fight for common-sense gun safety legislation starts with you: join our movement to demand action to protect our communities.

We're growing in every community, and we're not backing down until we're all safe.
