DeSoto County Man Indicted for Felony Escape Following Courthouse Fleeing Incident

‘Feast of Justice’ Operation Nets More Than 60 Convictions

Fighting Against Illegal Immigration

“The federal government has neglected its duty to enforce immigration laws, so it’s time for local officials to step up. When President Trump returns to the White House, his administration will have a partner in Mississippi on day one to ensure that individuals who commit crimes in Mississippi while unlawfully in the U.S. are promptly deported.” - D.A. Strengthening Community Safety with Essential Training for Law Enforcement and Educators  

Last week, the DeSoto County District Attorney’s Office, in partnership with Healing Hearts, hosted an important child abuse training session in Olive Branch aimed at equipping law enforcement and educators with the tools and knowledge to better recognize, respond to, and prevent child abuse. The training focused on the critical role these professionals play in protecting vulnerable children and providing them with the support they need. By collaborating on this initiative, the D.A.'s office and Healing Hearts are working together to strengthen the community’s response to child abuse and ensure a safer environment for all children in DeSoto County.

Investing In Tomorrow’s Leaders

As District Attorney, it is a privilege for my office and me to make a positive impact on our youth. We greatly enjoyed visiting Mrs. Engberg's class this month, where K9 Bruce and I had the opportunity to engage with students and share valuable lessons about the important work we do to keep them safe. These visits not only help educate kids but also offer encouragement for them to always strive to do their best and make good choices.
