This Thursday, December 19, we will release July 1, 2024, estimates of the total population and voting-age population for the nation, states, and Puerto Rico.Â
Our Population Estimates Program [ [link removed] ] develops the official estimates of population and housing units for the Census Bureau.

*2023 Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates:* On Tuesday, December 17, we will release new data from the 2023 Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates [ [link removed] ], which provide the only up-to-date, single-year income and poverty statistics for the nation’s 3,143 counties and 13,138 school districts.Â
*2023 Annual Business Survey: *On Thursday, December 19, we will release detailed data tables from the 2023 Annual Business Survey [ [link removed] ] covering reference year 2022. Data will include estimates on the number of firms, receipts, payroll and employment by detailed North American Industry Classification System, sex, detailed ethnicity, detailed race, and veteran status.
*2022 Economic Census for Puerto Rico: *On Thursday, December 19, we will release data for Puerto Rico from the 2022 Economic Census. The economic census is the U.S. government’s official five-year measure of businesses in the United States and Island Areas. It is the only source of comprehensive, comparable data for the Island Areas at a geographic level similar to U.S. counties.Â
