VoteRiders’ volunteers filled nearly 10,000 volunteer shifts in 2024. Volunteers reached out to millions of at-risk voters with voter ID information, and some worked one-on-one with voters over the course of days, weeks, and even months, to make sure they secured an ID in time to vote. Iris Johnson is one of those volunteers. She lives in Florida, where she saw that people were being restricted from voting due to the state’s voter ID law, which became even stricter in 2021. She did a Google search and found that VoteRiders needed folks to help voters get their IDs. She signed up right away. |
