Dear Friend,
This month, Turkey-backed jihadists took over Syria, overthrowing the Assad regime. Their aim is to establish "Greater Syria" – encompassing Lebanon, Jordan and Israel. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has already called for the "liberation of Jerusalem" from the Jews. Syria is the direct pathway there.
As Gatestone's Uzay Bulut reported on December 3, even before the fall of Damascus: "Tens of thousands of Christians, Kurds and other minorities are in danger of extermination. Videos of jihadists abducting Kurdish women have also surfaced on social media." Media outlets and Western governments are silent about the plight of Syria's minorities, but Gatestone will not turn a blind eye. We will continue reporting on, and drawing attention to, the genocidal danger faced by Syria's ancient ethnic and religious minorities as the barbaric jihadists consolidate their control over the country.
This is just one example of how Gatestone, with your help, works daily to research and report on the implications of the policies of our governments -- and how we inform the public about what the media does not report with any honesty -- on issues such as the persecution of Christians, Iran's advance to nuclear weapons, mass migration, threats to freedom of speech, and the rise of Islamism and jihadist terrorism in the West.
As 2024 comes to a close, we at Gatestone would like to thank again all our extraordinary supporters. Without your help, our critical work would not be possible. If you have not yet donated, please do make a U.S. tax-deductible contribution today, to help us continue the vital work of Gatestone's experts and authors -- so you will be among the our many readers who know what the media do not want you to know!
With best wishes for the very happiest holiday and a most special New Year,
