Governor DeWine Announces 14 State Projects Set to Create $283 Million in Investments
(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted today announced the approval of 14 projects that will create 1,202 new jobs and retain 2,978 jobs statewide.
During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. The projects are expected to result in more than $82 million in new payroll and spur more than $283 million in investments across Ohio.
GEALAN Window Systems Inc., city of Heath (Licking County), expects to create 27 full-time equivalent positions, generating more than $2.1 million in new annual payroll. GEALAN designs and manufactures European PVC window and door profiles and is planning to enter the U.S. market for its energy-efficient window systems. The proposed project includes the establishment of the company’s first U.S. facility. TCA approved a 1.226 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
Steven Schaefer Associates, Inc., city of Columbus (Franklin County), expects to create 20 full-time equivalent positions, generating $1.6 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Columbus. Schaefer provides design and analysis solutions across several industries including commerce, healthcare, and industrial. The proposed project includes the expansion of their current facility to support continued growth. TCA approved a 1.235 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
Provia Payroll LLC, village of Dalton and Sugar Creek Township (Wayne County), expects to create 300 full-time equivalent positions, generating $19.6 million in new annual payroll as a result of its new locations in Dalton and Sugar Creek. Provia is a manufacturer of exterior building materials for residential builds. The company’s products include entry door systems, energy-efficient windows, durable vinyl siding, crafted manufactured stone, and stamped steel roofing. The proposed project includes acquisition and expansion of existing facilities to increase production of entry doors and enable the company to expand. TCA approved a 1.671 percent, nine-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
Sikich LLC, village of Richfield (Summit County), expects to create 50 full-time equivalent positions, generating $5.2 million in new annual payroll as a result of their expansion project in Richfield. Sikich is global provider of tech-enabled professional services, specializing in accounting, bookkeeping, and auditing serving sectors like construction, real estate, manufacturing, cybersecurity. The proposed project includes the expansion of an existing facility to house new employees, allowing the company to grow in the cybersecurity industry. TCA approved a 1.576 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
Tempcraft Corporation, cities of Brecksville and Cleveland (Cuyahoga County), expects to create 60 full-time equivalent positions, generating more than $3.9 million in new annual payroll, as a result of the company’s expansion project in Brecksville and Cleveland. Tempcraft produces ceramic core dies and wax patterns for manufacturing investment castings used in aerospace, defense, and gas turbine industries. The proposed project includes a new location in Brecksville and increased operations at the current Cleveland location to accommodate a growing demand for ceramic core dies and limited expansion capabilities at the current site. TCA approved a 1.326 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
Creative Liquid Coatings Inc., village of Montpelier, Williams County, expects to create 50 full-time equivalent positions, generating $3 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Montpelier. Creative Liquid Coatings specializes in producing precision-engineered plastic injection molded parts and providing high-quality paint finishes for the heavy trucking industry. The proposed project includes the expansion of the company to meet increased customer demand and will introduce new technologies, including advanced paint and injection molding lines. TCA approved a 1.232 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
Intraplas Packaging Solutions, Inc., city of Van Wert (Van Wert County), expects to create 54 full-time equivalent positions, generating more than $2.7 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new location in Van Wert. Intraplas is a leading manufacturer specializing in sustainable packaging solutions, primarily for the food industry, emphasizing sustainability and cutting-edge technology in its operations. The proposed project includes acquiring a new facility to house a new sustainable packaging operation. TCA approved a 1.220 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
Plaskolite, LLC, Perry Township (Muskingum County), expects to create 38 full-time equivalent positions, generating $2.2 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Perry Township. Plaskolite manufactures thermoplastic materials like acrylic and polycarbonate for a range of applications, including windows, doors, and lighting. The proposed project includes acquiring a new facility to consolidate several manufacturing operations in one, resulting in increased production for the company. TCA approved a 1.205 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
DSWDWK, LLC DBA Impact Beverage, city of Cincinnati, (Hamilton County), expects to create 65 full-time equivalent positions, generating more than $4.6 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Cincinnati. DSWDWK, LLC is a contract manufacturer for rapidly growing beverage brands, making canned cocktails, energy drinks, and non-alcoholic options. The proposed projects include expanding the company's existing facility and leasing a new space for increased production capacity to meet the demand of current and new specialty beverage clients. TCA approved a 1.402 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
KBR Wyle Services, LLC and KBR Services, LLC, Beavercreek Township (Greene County), expects to create 85 full-time equivalent positions, generating $8.5 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Beavercreek. KBR delivers mission-critical support and engineering services to government and commercial clients, specializing in aerospace, defense, logistics, and systems integration. The proposed project includes expanding multiple offices to accommodate growth from recently awarded technology and engineering contracts. TCA approved a 1.662 percent, 10-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
Lithko Contracting, LLC, West Chester Township (Butler County), expects to create 50 full-time equivalent positions, generating more than $4.5 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in West Chester. Lithko is a full-service concrete contractor providing pre-construction and project execution services for projects across various sectors, including airports, distribution centers, entertainment, healthcare, hospitality, and industrial. The proposed project includes the expansion of the company's current headquarters to accommodate the recent growth and expansion of its workforce. TCA approved a 1.577 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
Pacific Manufacturing Ohio, Inc., city of Fairfield (Butler County), expects to create 96 full-time equivalent positions, generating more than $4.7 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in Fairfield. Pacific Manufacturing Ohio supplies automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers specializing in manufacturing, stamping, valves, molding, and tire pressure monitoring system products. The proposed project includes expansion to an existing facility to allow the company to manufacture EV components. TCA approved a 1.276, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
Schneider Electric Usa, Inc., cities of Fairfield and Oxford, Fairfield Township (Butler County), expects to create 250 full-time equivalent positions, generating more than $15 million in new annual payroll as a result of their consolidation project in Fairfield, Fairfield Township and Oxford. Schneider Electric provides a comprehensive range of safe, reliable solutions for low-voltage electric distribution, including circuit breakers, buses, enclosures, and switchboards, tailored for industrial equipment manufacturers, life sciences, and chemical industries. The proposed project includes upgrading an existing facility and constructing a new facility to consolidate existing employees serving the Midwest market. TCA approved a 1.508 percent, 10-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
Waites Sensor Technologies, Inc., city of Cincinnati (Hamilton County), expects to create 57 full-time equivalent positions, generating $4.2 million in new annual payroll with their new location in Cincinnati. Waites Sensor Technologies offers condition monitoring systems for equipment in mining, automotive, food, and lumber industries to minimize downtime, extend equipment lifespan, increase production hours, and reduce scheduled maintenance. The proposed project includes consolidating two northern Kentucky locations into Ohio to unify operations and support growth. TCA approved a 1.388 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
