Friend,
Syphilis-Free Start has made remarkable progress supporting the Liberian government to improve maternal and newborn health—increasing syphilis screening rates from 7% to 68%. In just a couple years, we’ve helped deliver health worker training nationwide, tested over 300,000 expecting mothers for syphilis, and saved an estimated 1,300 newborn lives.
Watch this video to hear more from our staff and partners on the frontline — including Evidence Action’s Liberia country director and Johnathon Flomo, Ministry of Health program manager.

But we need your help: With one more year of this program, we can transition full ownership to the government of Liberia, so they are trained and equipped to sustain the massive gains achieved as they test millions of women in the coming decade—but we face a funding gap and need your support.
Will you sustain our program in Liberia and help us save more newborn lives? Donate to Syphilis-Free Start today. ([link removed])
