Hi John, nice to meet you! I’m Alison, Brad Lander’s new campaign manager. I wanted to reach out to introduce myself and to tell you a little bit about why I’m so excited to be a part of this campaign. Brad and I have worked closely together in tough fights to win living-wage pay, good benefits, and decent working conditions for building service workers, fast-food workers, for-hire drivers, and hundreds of thousands of New York’s working families. And as the Chief Strategy Officer in the Comptroller’s Office, I worked closely with the trustees of the City’s five pension funds to deliver top-tier returns for our retirees and save taxpayers $2.5 billion, while investing in affordable housing, climate solutions, and good jobs. Now I’m honored and so excited to get to work with Brad Lander and help him become our next Mayor. Some things that really inspire me: My kids, my neighborhood of Bay Ridge, organized labor, and the rich history of New Yorkers standing up for our values and for each other, from Frances Perkins to Hector Figueroa. I’m inspired, but I’m also fed up. It’s frustrating to see how this City is being run right now. Maybe you feel the same way, John. We aren’t getting the leadership we need and deserve right now. New Yorkers are fed up with Mayor Adams — whose administration is marked by chaos, corruption, indictments, and too many resignations and cell phone seizures to count. And the last thing we need is another chaos agent with a long record of bullying, lying and harassment — namely Andrew Cuomo — in the Mayor’s office. Brad Lander is the candidate who brings the experience, integrity and vision to deliver a safer, more affordable city with leadership that works for all of us. That’s where you come in, John.
