We have an urgent ask John: Tell the Senate to take a stand.
Here's what happened: On December 11th, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) containing harmful provisions prohibiting coverage of medically necessary healthcare for trans youth under TRICARE, the military’s health program for active service members.
This is wrong. Nobody should be forced to make the impossible choice between their duty and their families' well-being.
Every military family deserves respect and access to the healthcare they need — without interference from political agendas.
These provisions ban safe and effective medically necessary for transgender people of all ages. In fact, it has the support of every legitimate medical and behavioral health association.
The insertion of this provision into otherwise historically bipartisan legislation is nothing more than a selfish attempt by political ideologues to score points with a fringe section of their base, and the Senate must say No to this version of the NDAA!
Send a message now: Urge your lawmaker to reject the discriminatory NDAA.
