Each month we hold Planning Commission meetings and present to the Board of Island County Commissioners on topics relevant to Island County’s 2025 Comprehensive Plan Update. Below are our upcoming meetings and engagement opportunities.  

 

Board of County Commissioners

Long Range Planning will be presenting to the Board on December 18th on Kimley Horn's analysis of the county's Mixed-Use Rural Areas of More Intensive Development (RAIDs). Visit the agenda center to see the time and materials for this presentation.

 

Planning Commission

The Planning Commission will be meeting on December 18th at 6 PM. There will be a presentation by Island Roots Housing on their work plan in support of the 2025 Comprehensive Plan, as well as a presentation reviewing the Mixed-Use RAID Analysis completed by Kimley Horn. More information can be found in the agenda center.

 

Please note: Due to falling on a holiday, the January 1st Planning Commission meeting has been canceled. The next meeting will be on January 15, 2025.
