ANNUAL MEETING RECAP
On Friday, December 6, the Arlington Chamber of Commerce held its 100th Annual Meeting at the Sheraton Pentagon City. The Annual Meeting, sponsored by Comcast, was a celebration of the Arlington Chamber and the business community, as they recognized the Chamber's accomplishments of 2024, and looked ahead at what is to come in 2025.
Keynote speaker Jason Wright of the Washington Commanders praised Arlington as a place that not only has a connected community, but also a global outlook. Wright emphasized the importance of doing the right thing, even when it can be hard, while also stressing the need to lead with diplomacy.
The Committee of the Year Award was presented to the Chamber's Community Action Committee, chaired by Jennifer Davies of the Animal Welfare League of Arlington.
Mastercard received the Chair's Award, presented to a business who made an exceptional impact on the Chamber.
Scott E. Pedowitz of the Apartment and Office Building Association received the President's Award, sponsored by Walsh, Colucci, Lubeley & Walsh P.C., for outstanding volunteer contributions to the Chamber in the past year.
Following the awards, Chamber 2025 Board Chair Steve Cooper of Exelaration Foundation introduced the slate for the 2025 Executive Committee and Board of Directors and announced that Bismah Ahmed of the Apartment and Office Building Association will serve as the Chamber 2026 Board Chair.
The Annual Meeting concluded with Senators Adam Ebbin and Barbara Favola presenting a Virginia General Assembly resolution commending the Arlington Chamber for their 100th anniversary in 2024.
