“But our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly wait for a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ. He will transform the body of our humble condition into the likeness of his glorious body, by the power that enables him to subject everything to himself.”
Philippians 3:20-21
Friend,
What we can often find ourselves glossing over in the Christmas story is the fault in ourselves that caused Jesus to come down from Heaven. Our sin and our selfish desires are exactly why He knew we needed saving.
We eagerly wait for Him because we know that we are not perfect, but He is. This world is broken and only our Savior can truly fix it.
That is why the Christmas season brings so much hope and light, because HE is that hope and light. We are reminded that our Savior came down from Heaven to redeem us and forgive us because He loves us that much. He wants us to live in His glory and in a world free from sin and darkness. The good news is that will happen one day!
We wait for that day with longing and with trust that our Father will one day wipe away every tear from our eyes and we will be with Him forever.
Thank You Lord!
