The Week in Review

Happy Sunday!

I hope you had a wonderful week. I am grateful to serve you all in the 118th Congress. Read below to see what I’ve been working on this week.

Voting Against the Uniparty’s Bloated NDAA

This week, the House passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2025. The near-$900 billion bill included several good priorities, like a 14.5% pay increase for junior enlisted servicemembers—which I’ve vocally supported for years.

However, this bloated bill contained too many poison pills to receive my vote in good conscience. The final version of the bill also removed my amendment to enact punitive measures against the Pentagon for failing an audit—after it failed its seventh straight audit.
