The IDF conducted several raids overnight against Hamas cells in Gaza to prevent the terror group from rearming and to eliminate imminent threats to Israeli troops.
Dozens of terrorists were killed in the operations, which included IDF ground maneuvers and airstrikes. One of the terrorist cells was operating a command center and storing weapons inside a former medical clinic in Jabaliya. In a separate airstrike yesterday, the IDF targeted and eliminated a senior Hamas terrorist who was operating along with other terrorists inside the IDF-designated humanitarian zone in central Gaza.
"Hamas continues to abuse civilian and humanitarian infrastructure for its terrorist activities, in violation of international law," the IDF said.
Multiple rockets were fired at Israel by terrorists in the Gaza Strip over the weekend. Israeli defense systems intercepted two rockets on Friday, while another projectile landed in an open area yesterday. The IDF released the photo below of rocket launchers found recently by Israeli troops in northern Gaza:
U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, who is in the region working to advance negotiations over a hostage-ceasefire deal, put the onus on Hamas for rejecting multiple agreements.
"For many months, Hamas has not been prepared to even do the basic things of coming to the table with the names of hostages," he said. "We have seen Hamas repeatedly, time and again, when the opportunity was there to do something, not be prepared to step up and do it."
America must increase the pressure on Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar to use their leverage over Hamas to pressure the terrorists to release the hostages.
New study reveals Hamas inflated fatality numbers 'to vilify Israel'
A new report by a UK think tank exposes systematic flaws in fatality numbers published by the Hamas-run 'Gaza Health Ministry' and peddled by international media outlets without scrutiny.
"These figures, heavily relied upon by global media, are riddled with glaring inaccuracies including misclassification, omission of combatant deaths and inflated civilian casualties," the report finds.
Among the key findings from the fatality figures are:
Misclassified genders: The Hamas-run 'Gaza Health Ministry' recorded men as women to inflate female fatalities.
Adults listed as children: Adults were misclassified as children to increase child fatality counts.
Natural deaths Included in war casualties: Cancer patients and other natural deaths were included in war-related fatality lists.
Killed terrorists listed among civilian casualties: More than 17,000 Hamas terrorists are believed to have been killed, yet most media outlets describe all deaths as civilian casualties.
Senate to vote on National Defense Authorization Act this week
The House passed the National Defense Authorization Act last week, which authorizes the Pentagon to budget more than $627 million for critical pro-Israel programs like Iron Dome, David’s Sling and Arrow.
The Senate is expected to vote on the NDAA this week, to send the bill to the president’s desk for it to be signed into law.

Israelis and Jordanians meet amid worries over rebel surge in Syria
Senior Israeli officials reportedly held secret talks with Jordanian military leadership in recent days over the instability in Syria following the overthrow of the Assad regime.
The meetings reportedly focused on threats posed by jihadist forces that have taken over the country along with efforts by the Iranian regime to smuggle weapons through Syria and Jordan to its terrorist proxies.
Israeli officials are reportedly concerned that extremists opposed to Jordan’s King Abdullah II could seize on the rebels’ gains to launch their own insurgency, undermining Jordanian and Israeli security.
Thanks in part to the overwhelming majority of Democrats and Republicans in Congress who support vital security assistance to Israel, our ally has the weapons it needs to act decisively in Syria to protect its families and shield the world from terrorists gaining access to advanced weapons.
The U.S. and Israel must continue to work together to ensure this moment of instability can become a moment of opportunity to weaken our adversaries, strengthen our shared security, and expand peace and normalization across the region.
'As evil as Assad': IDF recovers footage of brutal Hamas torture in Gaza prison
The video dated to 2023 shows Hamas prison guards torturing jailed Gazans, beating a prisoner, and throwing him down the stairs.
"Hamas tries to distance itself from the Assad regime and the horrors of its prisons currently being exposed, the recently released videos, along with past revelations of torture during Hamas interrogations, leave no room for doubt—Hamas is no less brutal," said the IDF's Arabic spokesperson.
"The harrowing footage serves as a reminder of the merciless torture, authoritarian rule, and human rights violations Hamas imposes on Gaza’s residents." Read more here.
