Postmaster General Louis DeJoy — still in office since being appointed by Trump in his first term — is running USPS into the ground.

This week when he was facing heated questions at a Congressional hearing he responded by literally covering his ears.

Since DeJoy took over USPS in 2020, he’s set USPS on a disastrous path to privatization that has caused mail delivery to slow and prices to skyrocket. It’s gotten so bad that even some Republicans are up in arms about his performance.

Bernie’s been shouting from the rooftops for years that DeJoy has got to go, but now the pressure is at a boiling point. Will you call on the USPS Board of Governors to fire DeJoy NOW, before it’s too late to save the postal service?

Louis DeJoy is the first postmaster general in two decades with NO prior USPS experience, and it’s no secret why he got the job – he’s a Republican mega-donor who wrote massive checks to Trump.

Bernie’s been clear from the beginning that he must be removed, and with a disastrous Congressional hearing this week, pressure is growing.

DeJoy has tried to run USPS like a for-profit company, jacking up prices, closing down essential locations, and slashing hours for rural employees. Now all of us are paying the price as we experience delays on everything from prescription drugs to social security checks to passports.

But instead of moving away from DeJoy’s disastrous privatization plan, some MAGA Republicans like Elon Musk are doubling down, developing plans to privatize USPS even more as soon as Trump gets into the White House.

Privatizing this essential public service would be a direct attack on rural communities because it is not profitable to deliver mail to low population areas. Which is why Our Revolution will fight tooth and nail to stop DeJoy and Musk’s plans.
