We hope that you are keeping safe during this pandemic, John. We know this is a difficult time for many, so please only contribute if you are able to do so. We are more committed than ever to a Democratic victory in November and are grateful you're in this fight.
John,
Thank you for continuing to stand with me in the fight to take back the Senate this fall.
Today, I want to tell you about candidates in three races that are key to winning this fight.
The latest analysis from the experts show that Democrats have a shot at winning control of the Senate in November -- and that we can do it by flipping GOP-held Senate seats in now purple states where President Trump won in 2016, including Montana, North Carolina, and Texas.
Voters in these states have had enough of the hyperpartisanship and dysfunction in Washington -- and they are ready to elect leaders who will truly stand with them and fight for their values.
Our Democratic candidates can win these races -- but it's going to take all of us working as hard as we can now through November to support their campaigns and get their messages out.
We can only win this fight if we stand together. Here's my ask, John: will you split a $5 contribution now to back Steve Bullock in Montana, Cal Cunningham in North Carolina, MJ Hegar in Texas, and my re-election campaign here in Illinois?

In Montana, the popular Democratic Governor Steve Bullock is running to flip a red seat blue. The latest poll shows him ahead -- and if anyone can win in Montana, it's Steve Bullock.
A North Carolina poll shows veteran and former state legislator Cal Cunningham leading the incumbent by seven points in what Vox calls one of "Democrats' biggest opportunities" in 2020.
And in Texas, MJ Hegar is fighting hard to flip this crucial state. In 2018, Texas voters very nearly elected a Democratic Senator -- and in 2020, our chances of victory are better than ever.
We need you in this fight to flip the Senate, John. Pitch in $5 now.
