John,

My name is Gregory Jackson, and I wanted to take a second to introduce myself. I’m the Community Justice Action Fund’s new national advocacy director and I cannot wait to hit the ground running and work to end everyday gun violence -- not just the shootings publicized on the news -- once and for all.

In the wake of three major mass shootings, it’s never been more important that our country take the reins on curbing gun violence. Too many Americans are dying. And we’ve gone far too long without any action to save lives.

Even though we just met, I’m hoping you’ll join me and CJAF in demanding the Senate return to Washington and pass gun reform now >>

The reason that CJAF’s work is so important and deeply personal to me, John, is that I’m a survivor of gun violence. I know first-hand what it’s like to be in the middle of a media frenzy around one of the biggest tragedies in my life -- and I know what it’s like when the news cycle moves on the survivors are still struggling to survive. There are clear solutions to end gun violence and I've seen them first hand. After years advocating for solutions, mentoring youth impacted and implementing programs that prevent violence, I'm excited to work alongside you to bring about change.

Even when the news cycle forgets, we cannot forget, John.

Will you add your name to our petition to demand the Senate end their summer vacation early and pass gun reform now >>

It’s great meeting you -- and thanks for your support,
Greg
