Hi John,
Remember when the U.S. first surpassed China and Italy for the most COVID-19 cases? It was shocking at the time, but now has become such a norm we rarely think twice about it.
Well, I think about it — quite a bit in fact. I think about all the pain and suffering that could have been avoided if our nation was properly prepared when we saw the first warning signs of this pandemic.
Our leaders in Washington ignored early warnings from infectious disease experts and intelligence agencies. Matt Gaetz not only ignored the warnings, he actively mocked them!
When our leaders fail it’s on us to hold them accountable. So please help us make Matt Gaetz pay for his failures by chipping in what you can to our campaign to defeat him November. [link removed]
Due to leaders like Matt Gaetz, the U.S. not only has the most COVID-19 cases in the world but more than the next 6 countries with the highest case numbers combined!
These politicians can try to deflect blame to China as much as they want, but at the end of the day, the U.S. is the epicenter of the Coronavirus pandemic because of their inaction.
If our representatives in Washington can get away with this astronomical level of incompetence and short-sightedness than our democracy has failed. I refuse to allow that to happen.
