Hi John, it’s the Team at Foushee HQ checking in.
Here’s the deal: our mid-month fundraising deadline is tomorrow at midnight, and we’ve set a goal of $5,000 that we can’t reach without your help.
We’re forwarding yesterday’s email from Valerie about what keeps her in this fight, and why having you by her side is crucial in a time like this. Give it a read and seriously consider donating to support Valerie today — even just $ makes a major impact. [[link removed]]
Begin Forwarded Message from Valerie Foushee:
John,
One of the core tenets of our American democracy is the peaceful transfer of power after an election, even if the outcome is not what we wanted.
What Republicans are doing in North Carolina this week is in direct opposition to that.
Democracy is not ripping away power from incoming elected officials so that you can push through your own agenda. It isn’t trying to rig the system in your favor. And it certainly isn’t sneaking those things into legislation that was designed to help people who are still suffering in the aftermath of a natural disaster.
North Carolinians deserve better, John. I’m honored to continue working in Congress for the future of our state, but I need your help in this fight for progress. If you’re with me, will you make a donation of $ or any amount before Sunday’s mid-month fundraising deadline? [[link removed]]
If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process now.

Since day one, my work in Congress has been guided by the principles I grew up on. I’ll never lose sight of what it means to look out for your neighbors and ensure everyone has a seat at the table. In a district as diverse as NC-04, it takes a whole lot of perseverance to usher in progress that accounts for everyone.
But that’s exactly what keeps me going in this work. I’m fueled by my commitment to building a better future for our children, and a better life for our communities. I’m here to fight for you — not to rig the system to keep myself in power.
Sunday marks our final mid-month fundraising deadline of the year, and while I know the next Election feels light years away, I count on donations from folks like you year-round to keep our campaign running. Will you chip in $ or whatever you can spare to keep me fighting? [[link removed]]
