Friends,
Nothing is more important to me than the safety and livelihood of our district’s families. The voters of NY-22 placed their trust in me to serve them in Washington and put their priorities first, and that’s a responsibility that I do not take lightly.
So when I hear hyper-partisan rhetoric and downright dangerous ideas coming from my opponent and former Representative Claudia Tenney, it really worries me. Last week, Tenney said that we should reopen our schools because “children attended school in the pre vaccine era for over a century.”
Friends, I know many of you are parents just like me, and it’s alarming to hear someone running to represent our district treat our children with this kind of recklessness. I’m just as eager to return back to normal, but lives are on the line, and we need to be listening to scientists and medical experts on how to reopen as safely as possible.
Their expertise has guided every decision I make on behalf of Upstate New York families. Please know, my time and attention will remain focused on solving this crisis and getting our district the resources we need.
So while I’m fighting tooth and nail for NY-22 in Congress, I hope I can lean on you to help keep our campaign in the game. Our district is one of the most competitive in the country, and we cannot let it fall back into the hands of a dangerous politician like Claudia Tenney. >>
