Tina for Oregon

John,

I believe in the promise of every child. That’s why I’m recommending over $835 million more over the next two years to support Oregon’s children and youth in my proposed budget for 2025-2027.

Here’s where that money’s going:

  • $600 million increase to strengthen the State School Fund, for a total of $11.36 billion, to support K-12 public education;
  • $127 million for early literacy so more kids are reading at grade level in elementary school;
  • $78.5 million to expand summer learning programs; and
  • $25 million for youth mental health investments.

These investments will improve early literacy, reliably fund our public schools, and address learning loss through summer learning programs.

Investing in our young people means ensuring a strong future for our state. This is one of my top priorities as Governor, and I hope you’ll support my plan for education by adding your name today:
