NDAA Strengthens Military Following Years of Biden-Harris' Woke Agenda

Our servicemembers are the backbone of our military and national security – it’s past time the brave men and women defending our nation’s freedom and their families are properly supported and provided for in the manner they deserve. For the last three and a half years of the Biden-Harris administration, it's been hard to recruit and retain servicemembers because of the woke policies and the loss of focus on the mission by this administration.

This week, the House passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which focuses on improving the quality of life for our service men and women with important tools to recruit and retain a strong military, and I proudly voted in support.

President Trump's Tax Cuts and Jobs Act

With Republicans taking control of the White House, Senate, and House, it is imperative we are in position to move President Trump’s agenda efficiently and thoughtfully so we can quickly restore our nation to greatness. One of the first items on our 100-day agenda will be to stabilize our tax code so we can prevent a multi-trillion dollar tax increase on families all across this country.

President Trump's Tax Cuts and Jobs Act transformed this country and tremendously benefitted middle and lower income families. I joined Fox Business Network’s Kudlow to discuss President Trump’s successful record of economic growth through tax cuts.

Legislation to Memorialize Luke Letlow Becomes Law

Recently, my legislation to name a post office in Richland Parish after Congressman-elect Luke Letlow and memorialize his legacy of public service was signed into law. What I remember most about Luke is that he had a faithful heart, a passion for serving his community, and such positive energy every single day.

This post office will ensure his legacy continues to shine on and inspire others to take up public service in their communities. Earlier this year, I spoke on the House floor in honor of Congressman-elect Letlow, and I am honored to see this bill become law.

Expanding the Atchafalaya National Heritage Area

Stretching across 14 parishes in Louisiana, the Atchafalaya National Heritage Area protects our region’s storied culture and resources. From Cajun music to our bayous and abundant natural resources, Louisiana has unparalleled culture and heritage and is home to some of the most unique and special landscapes in the world.

Earlier this month, the House passed my legislation to ensure that Lafourche Parish – the only parish in the historic boundary area left out of the original designation – is finally included in this National Heritage Area. This bill corrects a long overdue oversight that will complete the Atchafalaya National Heritage Area.
