It’s been two days since our conference, and I’ve heard from others who feel the same as me: We can’t stop thinking about it.

The turnout from Congress, the courageous messages shared, the energy from our citizens – it was extraordinarily refreshing, especially after this difficult year for the country.

Several members of Congress in attendance reminded me how unique this was for them. No Labels is the only organization that brings together leaders from both parties to talk about pathways to progress.

You could tell by the thoughts our speakers shared that we succeeded in creating a safe space for them. We heard Democrats offer encouragement to DOGE. We heard Republicans stand up to Trump. It was a healthy, honest, earnest exchange of views.

It was also just the beginning of what we'll need. Over the next few years, America can’t afford to run and hide from the problems we face. If we want progress, we need to pull our leaders out of this mindset of Democrat ideas versus Republican ideas and constant warfare against each other.

That means keep at it. Keep organizing members, hosting meetings, promoting discussion among citizens, and spreading the word about who we are. Our movement is already growing, but that growth will accelerate as our work in Congress unfolds.

The backdrop of our stage on Thursday featured our new motto—Power to the Middle. It’s safe to say that we lived up to it. From our citizen attendees to our speakers, we showcased a new political constituency in America: a unified and energized middle across both parties.
