The Department of Education is critical for many reasons. Here's just some of what it does:

If Donald Trump shuts down the Department of Education our students and our teachers will be doomed.
There will be no national standards, so some states could erase slavery from history or evolution from science class. There will be no way to ensure that students who need extra help or lower-income children can get the education they deserve. In short, we will abandon our students and teachers.
But if MAGA wants to shut down the Department of Education, they'll need Congressional approval.
