We know millions of Americans were affected by the unprecedented flooding, power outages, damage to infrastructure, and loss of homes in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Now, they are faced with the task of rebuilding.
Unfortunately, funds from FEMA and other federal agencies have run out.
President Biden asked for $115 billion to fund these federal disaster recovery programs. There is bipartisan support for this funding, but we only have until the end of the year to ensure Congress passes this bill. Our legislators need to hear from us, and they need to know this disaster aid is a top priority.
