Fellow Conservative,
The people chose President Trump, and President Trump has chosen his Cabinet. But the Cabinet must be approved by the Senate before they can begin their work of fulfilling the mandate given to them from the President by the American people.
And here is what you can do about it:
The Senate Must Deliver
President Trump will only have 18 months at most to accomplish his most important legislative goals before Congress loses steam and leaves DC to campaign for the midterm elections.
There are approximately 3,000—4,000 presidential appointee positions that need to be filled by the President and about 1,400 of those will require Senate confirmation. Yet, the average time it takes for the Senate to approve Presidential Cabinet nominees has lengthened to 190 days, taking precious time away from the work that needs to be done.
The people must show the Senate that they want a speedy approval process so that President Trump can have all or most of his team ready to go on inauguration day, January 20, 2025. To send the message loud and clear, add your name to the petition below.

We already have 4,000 signatures, but we know there can be so much more. Let’s add as many names to the petition to show the senate that the American people stand behind President Trump and his nominees.

Putting a Bow on National Security
The final text of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2025 was released this week and passed the House of Representatives. The Senate is expected to vote on it next week.
The FY25 NDAA takes an important step toward a defense budget that flows from strategy– establishing a less politicized DOD that focuses on remaining as capable and lethal as possible to protect the national security interests of Americans.
Some of the important provisions in the bill include:
- Authorization of resources for DOD at the border
- Retention of the House’s ban on corrosive race-based policies
- Elimination of the Senate's provision to draft our daughters
- Prohibition of transgender surgeries for minors under TRICARE
- Support for military construction in the Indo-Pacific
- Support for shipbuilding including a third Arleigh Burke–class destroyer
- Authorization of incremental funding for a second Virginia-class submarine
All this while still honoring the spending caps established in the Fiscal Responsibility
Act.
The primary drawback is that there was no inclusion of language in the bill to restrict outbound investments in the Chinese Communist Party, a critically important policy that will help prevent China from using American money and technical prowess to out-develop American military technology. We are now advocating for Congress to include restricting outbound investments to the CCP in the year-end spending package.
That said, the bill still includes much needed national security measures while also keeping the Left’s social agenda from spreading within the ranks.
Spending Update
While outbound investment restrictions were not included in the NDAA, they can still be added to the upcoming Continuing Resolution (CR), which is expected to be finalized and published this weekend.
We anticipate the CR to extend government funding at current levels beyond the December 20th deadline and into March of 2025. This will be the direct result of your efforts since August of this year–Congress IS listening. The main purpose behind this move is to prevent the Democrats from ramming a massive omnibus through before the end of the year and cementing their priorities in the federal budget for another nine months.
Instead, by extending funding and setting it to expire early next year, it will give the new House, Senate, and White House the ability to set the budget priorities right out of the gate.
In a Washington Times op-ed, Heritage Action’s Executive Vice President, Ryan Walker breaks the full strategy behind this move.

We will keep you up to date about the contents of the CR once it is released and our position on it as it moves through the legislative process.
We are on the verge of being able to bring incredible change to Washington, D.C. and the nation. But prep work is key to future success. Engagement now will pay off in the long run. Thank you for jumping right in and working to set the narrative early on.
