At Love146, when we say we never close a case, we mean it. It’s not just a slogan—it’s a promise.
58% of the youth we've supported through our long-term Survivor Care reach back out for connection months and even years after we stopped providing these services. They know we'll be there, long past their 18th birthday when other services often end – because recovery isn't linear, and healing doesn't follow a schedule
One supporter, Faith, a retired Special Education Pre-K teacher, shared why she gives:
"At Love146, they actually do the work—not just talk about it. They don’t abandon children once they reach 18. They continue supporting them, helping them create lives where they can thrive."
Faith understands what we see every day: that supporting a child through trauma recovery requires both expertise and extraordinary patience.
It means being there when they push you away, and being there when they reach back out. It means celebrating small victories and helping them pick up the pieces after setbacks. Most importantly, it means showing them, through consistent presence and unwavering support, that what happened to them does not define who they are. That they are worthy of love and capable of building a different future.
Will you make sure a child has the support they need—no matter how long it takes?
