Justice Democrats

John,

Justice Democrats Rep. Pramila Jayapal and Rep. Greg Casar are leading the call to transform the Democratic Party and recenter its focus on working-class people.

Pramila, the current chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC), and her successor Greg are urging Democratic members running for DNC chair to embrace bold changes, including banning corporate PAC donations and super PAC spending in Democratic primaries.

Tweet from Max Cohen: News: Top Progressive Caucus lawmakers - Jayapal, Casar, Frost, Delusion - are calling for DNC chair candidates to endorse reforms aimed at winning back working class voters, including banning super PACs from spending in Dem primaries and refusing corporate PAC donations to the DNC

Their letter also calls for prioritizing “rebuilding our multiracial poor and working-class base” and employing more consultants with “a demonstrated understanding of populist policies.”

These progressive leaders recognize how badly the Party has become entrenched in the corporate and billionaire bad actors profiting at the expense of working-class voters. As Greg said, “Our caucus will make sure the Democratic Party stands up to corporate interests for working people."

In 2025, we’ll be working alongside Greg and Pramila to put pressure on the Party to do just that. Will you fuel our work with a grassroots contribution today?

Tweet from Pramila Jayapal: Trying to be “Republican lite” is a losing strategy. The path forward for Democrats is clear: Defend our democracy from Big Money. Empower grassroots leaders. Invest in state parties. We win by fighting for working families and poor people.

Pramila is right. The next DNC chair needs to focus on rebuilding the Party. That means a 50-state organizing strategy, embracing grassroots donors and rejecting corporate PAC money, and showing a clear vision of how we will fight – and WIN – for working people.

Justice Democrats is prepared to go full speed ahead with that mission. Together, we will ensure the Party stands up to corporate interests while we recruit a new generation of working-class leaders to run against corporate Democrats who’ve lost touch with their constituents next cycle.

Let’s fight to end corporate influence in our elections and put power back where it belongs — with the people. If you’re with us, rush any amount now →
