Energy and Commerce is the oldest standing committee in the House of Representatives and has long been regarded as a committee of serious legislators who are charged with crafting the critical policies that are integral to the success of our nation. Unfortunately, New York has not had representation on this committee since 2018, and we have suffered the consequences while our region has been a victim of radical Green New Deal and harmful economic policies from Albany. Moreover, we are home to several important hospitals facing challenging economic circumstances.
It's a tremendous honor to be chosen to serve, and I can't wait to get to work helping to usher in President Trump's agenda. From reasserting America's energy independence to tackling rural healthcare challenges to expanding broadband, New York and the 23rd Congressional District are going to have a powerful seat at the table.
I am as energized as ever for the 119th Congress where we finally have the opportunity to usher in a new golden age for America. I'm going to roll up my sleeves and get to work delivering results--because the residents of our incredible 23rd Congressional District deserve nothing less.
Your support has allowed me to take on these challenges and I couldn't do it without you. I'm incredibly grateful and humbled by this honor, and I will always have your back in Washington.
Sincerely,
