To the "Woke Mob™,"

Popping in to your inbox to share a good bit of news for your weekend! State Superintendent Ryan Walters settled a lawsuit with local TV station KFOR this week. After months of blacklisting one of Oklahoma’s first television news stations for critical coverage, OSDE MUST allow KFOR the same access as every other outlet.

The Institute for Free Speech, which filed for the court order alongside KFOR, called it “a huge victory for journalism.” We know that holding elected officials accountable resonates with Oklahomans of all stripes. And even Republicans get tired of Walters’ PR games and distractions. 

That’s why we’re asking for your help. We’ll keep working to keep the incompetence and malice of his administration in the public eye. When we speak out against extremism and mismanagement, we hold both Walters, and the rightwing legislators shielding him, accountable.

And crucially, this is how we build a broad coalition of all Oklahomans committed to making schools work for our kids, not for the politicians and the anti-school lobby.
