Dear Friend,
It’s been an exciting week on the campaign trail highlighted by an endorsement from Robert Foster, and you’ve probably noticed our new television ad as well. I want to share something with you about Robert Foster’s endorsement that you might not have heard about yet.
While campaigning across our state for the past five and a half months, a lot of candidates attend some of the same events—such as a festival or forum where candidates deliver speeches one by one. That’s given me an opportunity to get to know Robert Foster as we’ve had the chance to visit and discuss issues, our families and our hopes for Mississippi’s future.
Charlotte and I have enjoyed getting to know Robert and his wife, Heather, not just as political acquaintances but as friends who we admire and respect because they have a strong faith, a commitment to family and a genuine desire to make a difference for our state. Robert’s endorsement of our campaign was not done for political expediency. In fact, he could have just been a spectator in this runoff but as he’s said, “this runoff election is too important to sit on the sidelines.”
He didn’t have to get involved in the runoff, and his decision was one of a personal and sincere nature—so I want to thank him for his courage and his principled position of joining our campaign. And I want to say again that no matter who you voted for on August 6, I would be honored to have you join our team.
Between now and the August 27 runoff election, here’s what you can expect from our campaign—a focus on straight talk, conservative solutions to Mississippi’s biggest challenges and a campaign you can be proud to be part of—because at critical times like this, leadership matters.
Can you help us by donating today so we can be successful in getting our message out between now and August 27? Your contribution today will make a big impact and will give us a boost to finish strong and win this runoff. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Bill
