Dear John,
In recent years, it has become clear that our society is falling into abject darkness.
We hear evil called good and good evil. The enemy is trying to push God out of the public square and erase the Christian foundation of our shared morality. A spirit of confusion and chaos is taking over our educational institutions and communities.
It is impossible to ignore as we see The Satanic Temple gain influence in our public schools through clubs and educational programs like the Hellions Academy of Independent Learning (HAIL) at Edgewood Elementary School in Marysville, Ohio. USA Today highlighted the HAIL program earlier this month, saying that the group hoped to counter Christian programs and offer a new alternative.
Whether it's the religion of secularism or outright Satanism, it's all part of an agenda that opposes biblical truth. It's up to Christians to take a stand against the enemy's agenda before it's too late.
In Oklahoma and Louisiana, elected officials are working to put the Bible and the Ten Commandments back into classrooms. FRC is standing arm-in-arm with these brave men and women, and we're working to encourage other elected officials across the country to follow their example.
The November elections saw numerous victories for faithful Christians, but one of the most important isn't getting much attention: dozens of school board seats were won by individuals who sought to protect their kids from sexualization and indoctrination.
We as Christians have an incredible opportunity to engage with our communities and protect our kids in the current moment.
"[E]ducation is the purview of states and localities," said Meg Kilgannon, FRC's Senior Fellow for Education Studies, on Washington Watch. "And so little of the funding for education comes from the Department [of Education], that it should not wield this level of influence... That's part of the problem. It's a big bully pulpit."
FRC is encouraging, supporting, and equipping people just like you to make a difference in their communities -- despite big-government overreach -- through our media efforts, policy briefs, and worldview publications, all of which help you engage with your communities through a Christ-centered lens.
We're nearing the end of our calendar year, and we must raise $4 million to support our mission to impact the nation, one community at a time. Don't wait -- partner with us today and take advantage of our 2x Challenge Match that will double your gift until December 31!
Also, when you give during the Christmas season, you will receive a copy of "The Real St. Nicholas & How He Became Santa" as a special thank you.
DOUBLE MY GIFT
The absence of faith in our public education system has led to radicals pushing transgender ideology and critical race theory on the most important assets in our community -- our children. They know that if they can take away the innocence of children, the darkness will grow.
In an interview on FRC's Outstanding podcast, famed theologian and author Os Guinness issued a stark warning: Western civilization is in crisis. "I wish people understood the moment," he said, adding that "radical Marxism" is seeking to disrupt our very way of life and transform our nation into something "unrecognizable."
It's important to remember in this moment that we are not called to conform to the world, but rather to be the light that shines in the darkness.
But that starts with you and me -- we must shine His light. That's why FRC focuses so much on equipping believers to engage their communities for Christ through our Community Impact Teams every year.
In 2024, our Community Impact teams hosted 39 events focused on developing leadership in communities and preparing them to stand for the faith at the local level. From Zoom calls and mid-size in-person training to larger regional events, we trained nearly 5,000 people.
We hear from pastors and other team leaders every day, and they are incredibly grateful for this initiative. According to one pastor from Michigan, the program is so valuable that he can't keep the materials in stock.
In addition to our Community Impact Teams, FRC's Center for Biblical Worldview hosted 13 Worldview Workshops across seven states in 2024, which equipped pastors from across the country with the tools they need to lead their congregation to engage with their communities from a biblical perspective.
By partnering with us, you're helping to continue this vital effort and equip even more Christians with the resources they need to make a difference in their communities! When you give by December 31, your gift will be doubled, thanks to a 2x Challenge Match provided by generous friends of FRC.
And don't forget, when you give during the Christmas season, you will receive a copy of "The Real St. Nicholas & How He Became Santa" as a special thank you.
MAKE 2X THE IMPACT
Are you prepared to shine the light of Christ in these dark times?
Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life" (John 8:12). These words are what guide Family Research Council every day as we work to make an impact on our communities, churches, and schools.
As we look forward to the coming year and the change that will most assuredly come to our nation, it is time to continue to fight for the Word of God.
We must not abandon our communities or become complacent as the enemy continues his plan to lead our neighbors and loved ones astray.
Even in the face of these challenges, Christians have plenty of reasons to be hopeful.
Scripture tells us that "he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4), and with that promise as our guide, there's nothing the Lord cannot accomplish through us.
Thank you,
Family Research Council
