Dear John,
This Wednesday CLASP had the fantastic opportunity to be in conversation with some powerful leaders for a thought-provoking webinar. It was encouraging to see so many friends and partners join us, and I am especially grateful for our distinguished panel of speakers – Taifa Smith Butler, Kica Matos, Roshni Nedungadi, and Rev. Dr. Starsky Wilson – for taking the time to share their insights, wisdom, and thoughts about the path forward. I encourage you to take a moment to learn more about each panelist’s organization as well as check out some resources they shared during the webinar.
I’m thrilled to share a recording of the conversation. Feel free to pass this along to your networks and others who you think may be interested. The link to the recording is here.
As our speakers mentioned on the call, we know we have an uphill battle ahead. But we’ve been here before, and we understand what it takes to mitigate the harms of bad policy. We are equipping and mobilizing on every front to protect against threats to immigrants, children, health care and mental health, communities of color, and workers.
Several of our panelists shared valuable insights into overcoming efforts to divide groups that have common stakes in racial and economic justice. We know that building cross-cutting coalitions will be essential to meeting these challenges head-on, and with your support we will work together to cultivate and strengthen these partnerships.
