Choose Live and Choose Local Holiday Trees and Greenery
There are many ecological benefits to choosing live trees and greenery for your holiday décor. Christmas tree farms can absorb more than one ton of CO2 per lifetime, per farm.
If you do choose live trees and greenery:
- Choose local; this helps prevent the spread of tree pests and disease.
- Properly dispose of trees and greenery after the holidays; remember, it is illegal to place them in the trash.
