Folks,

This month, Senate Democrats approved our leadership team for the next Congress, and I’m honored to share that I’ll be serving as Vice Chair of the conference.

I’ll be honest, the next four years won’t be easy. Despite losing our Senate majority, I will use my power in Washington to push for progress. I will work with anyone to get things done for Virginians and make sure Americans can be safe, healthy, and free.

And for those of you who might still be discouraged by the election’s outcome: I urge you to spend the next four years organizing, building consensus, and fighting for a brighter future. We have to be united in the days to come and do what we can, where we can, to make a difference.

Just remember: I’ll always have your back in the Senate.
