Dear John,

2024 has surfaced major constitutional conversations about what it means to be American and what’s ahead for our country. Now more than ever, we need civic resources that can cut through the division and partisan rhetoric, and a place where we can come together to explore different viewpoints grounded in thoughtful reflection.

America needs the National Constitution Center—and we need you. Please make a gift this holiday season, and help us inspire people everywhere to learn about and rededicate themselves to the freedoms enshrined in the Constitution.

In the coming year, we’re developing a Civic Toolkit anchored by a new Interactive Declaration of Independence, featuring thoughtful scholarly analysis, videos, and interactive content to deepen your understanding. We’re piloting a middle school version of our Constitution 101 core curriculum that will launch in September, bringing our nonpartisan, primary source-based approach to students in fifth through eighth grade. Your support will also allow us to empower teachers in their classrooms through professional learning opportunities ranging from online workshops to intensive week-long institutes.

Our America’s Town Hall series and We the People podcast are also important civic learning tools, with many listeners describing them as “a virtual university.” With your support, I’m looking forward to recording a limited-series podcast providing a deep dive on our nation’s founders and civic virtue, and taking these conversations on the road to build civic networks and inspire civil dialogue.

We’re also developing two new galleries at the Center telling the story of America’s founding and exploring the separation of powers among our three branches of government. Simultaneously, we’re developing special programming, resources, and virtual tours so that online visitors can join us on these learning journeys. As a supporter, you’ll be the first to hear updates on our progress as we re-envision the museum experience for the 21st century, while helping to subsidize transformative visits for thousands of students each year.

Every day, our community of lifelong learners like you demonstrates how Americans of diverse viewpoints can model civil dialogue about the American Idea. Please make your gift to support our crucial nonpartisan work today, and help us continue to serve as a beacon of learning and light for learners of all ages.

With appreciation,

Jeffrey Rosen

President and CEO
