FIRST: The Supreme Court overturned Roe, stripping away federal protections for abortion and paving the way for states to restrict and outright ban abortion rights.

THEN: Ohio voters passed a constitutional amendment to protect abortion rights and prevent the Ohio GOP’s extremist anti-abortion ban from taking effect.

NOW: Thanks to extremist anti-abortion Republicans in Ohio incessantly trying to overturn Issue 1, legal battles surrounding abortion regulations, including a six-week ban, the 24-hour waiting period, and even an attempt to stop telemedicine as a way to receive abortion treatment, are continuing to unfold in the Ohio courts, extending well into 2025.
