Sad But True Facts About Some Charity Organizations…

Americans are incredibly generous, especially when it comes to veterans’ charities, but many of these causes don't deliver what they claim. CharitiesForVets.org provides donors with the information they need to evaluate a charity before they give.

Three years ago, several friends and I agreed to unite in a mission to help veterans by redirecting donations from wasteful organizations to effective organizations. We had discovered that billions (with a B!) were being donated to charities who were over-promising and under-delivering program services to vets and families in need. The problems were hiding in plain sight. A basic investigation indicated the wasting of hundreds of millions every year attributed to poor financial management, wasteful fundraising campaigns, unnecessary hoarding of donations, and deceptive advertising, among other failings.

We established a military advisory board and spent hundreds of hours researching charities and creating an easy-to-use website that highlights recommended charities and charities that aren’t doing as well.

I encourage you to review our free research at CharitiesForVets.org and share it with your friends and families.

We all want to honor and serve America’s great heroes, but your donations shouldn’t be spent on wasteful overhead, overpriced executive pay, or, God forbid, fraud.

Please give wisely this holiday season.

Sincerely,

Rick Berman

Founder of Charities for Vets
