Hello,

Trump and extremist politicians are preparing so they’re ready on day one to go after fair representation, equal access to the ballot, and our very democracy.

So we’re preparing to be ready on day one, too.

We already know what Trump and the GOP are planning once they take power. It’s all laid out for us in Project 2025 and their long history of blatant gerrymandering, making it harder for people to vote, and stacking state supreme courts courts with extremist judges who rubberstamp manipulated maps.

We know what’s coming, but it takes resources to fight back these attacks. Step up today with a donation to fund the NDRC’s work as we push back against blatant attempts to gerrymander, undermine the Voting Rights Act, and more in the year ahead. [[link removed]]

We watched as Trump repeatedly distanced himself from Project 2025 on the campaign trail. Now, he’s busy appointing the architects of Project 2025 to his cabinet, stacking the deck of his administration with extremists who have detailed plans to dismantle our voting rights.

They are planning this attack on voting rights on multiple fronts — and here’s what it could look like in practice once Trump gains power:

* Project 2025 will weaken the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division — stripping our federal government of the team that protects minority voters’ rights. It will restrict the team that’s responsible for defending Americans of color in civil rights cases, like violations of the Voting Rights Act.
* Project 2025 will politicize the Census, installing partisan actors to decide who counts and who doesn’t. They also have plans to add a citizenship question on the Census, which would undercount populations in areas with a high percentage of immigrants, shifting power away from diverse communities.
* Federal work protecting our elections from foreign threads would be stopped. The architects of Project 2025 want to dismantle the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency which works to combat elections from foreign interference.

The NDRC has been combatting this extremism at the state level for years, and we are ready to confront the challenges ahead. But we’re relying on people like you to step up to arm us with the right resources to fight back against these blatant attempts to restrict access to the ballot.

Give today and help us protect the fundamental right to vote in states across the country. Your donation will fuel our work fighting gerrymandering and protecting the Voting Rights Act in 2025 and beyond. [[link removed]]

Thank you for fueling our work in this critical moment for democracy.
