Dr. Neely in Zambia
Hi Friend,

Our volunteer medical staff play an important role in providing eye care to patients around the world. They recently returned from a trip to Zambia, where Orbis Volunteer Faculty Dr. Dan Neely and Dr. Simon Courtman worked alongside local teams to provide life-changing care and world-class training for surgeons and anesthesiologists.

This project focused on strabismus, or a misalignment of the eyes, which can lead to permanent vision loss if left untreated. Orbis research shows that treating strabismus in children leads to improved mental health and quality of life.

A big thank you must go to Dr. Neely and Dr. Courtman and the local team for all their hard work—and of course, to you, our amazing supporters for making this training possible.
