Hi team --

We are so excited to share the news that Mike Young, our Senior Political and Organizing Director, will be stepping into a new role in 2025 as Executive Director to oversee more of our internal operations and programming.

Six years ago, EnviroVoters became laser focused on solving the climate crisis, advancing justice, and ensuring California is creating the global roadmap for action. Since that time, we’ve more than quadrupled in size and catalyzed international change on climate action. Given the new national context and California’s outsized responsibility moving forward, we’re excited to expand our leadership model in a way that reflects our values of equity, sustainability, and collaboration.

Mike has spent the last 20 years with EnviroVoters and had an immeasurable impact on environmental leadership in California. As a deeply respected leader in the organization and across the state, Mike brings an unmatched skill set and expertise to this new role. This organizational shift will continue EnviroVoters’ trajectory of growth and increased impact, while creating new advancement opportunities for our talented team.
