A gaggle of "experts" met in Portugal, including journalists, who decry the rise of right of center movements in the United States and around the world. They charge misinformation, malinformation, and disinformation as the reasons conservatives have been successful. They want governments to crackdown on speech they don't like. Amnesty International and other extreme abortion groups want to be considered "human rights defenders" even though abortion is not a human right. They want governments to protect them from differing opinions. You get the feeling the left cannot win a straight up argument and needs governmental help.
