**Mayor Johnson Postures on Safety—When Will Dallas See Results?**

Mayor Eric Johnson’s State of the City address may have struck a hopeful tone, but let’s not sugarcoat things—

**Dallas is at a crossroads**, and

**promises alone won’t cut it anymore.** The “4 P’s” Johnson highlighted—public safety, parks, potholes, and property tax relief—aren’t just talking points. They’re the people’s demands, made crystal clear through the overwhelming passage of the HERO charter amendments, Propositions S and U.

**Now, the real question is: will City Hall deliver?**

“These calls from our residents for greater public safety and stronger government accountability could not be more clear,” Johnson said [link removed]. Strong words—

**but actions speak louder.** Meanwhile, Dallas faces critical decisions ahead with a new city manager and police chief on the horizon. These leaders will have to address violent crime, staffing shortages, and the financial challenges posed by HERO’s mandates. With the passing of Props S and U, there’s progress—but that doesn’t mean Dallas residents are safe enough or satisfied.

**The people want real change, not empty promises.**

**Dallas, it’s time to hold Mayor Johnson and City Hall accountable.** The stakes are too high to let them sidestep the will of the people. Flood Mayor Johnson’s phone and email with messages reminding him who

**he works for—YOU.** Demand that public safety and accountability remain at the top of the agenda. We voted for change, and now it’s time to make sure that change happens.

**Stand up, speak out, and let’s fight for the Dallas we deserve.**

**District 2, Councilman Jesse Moreno**

**"Underpass Trash Heap"**

**Mission Statement:**

Keep Dallas Safe exists to address crime and homelessness in Dallas with the goal of transforming Dallas into the safest large city in Texas for residents and businesses. We aim to have a City Council that prioritizes crime rate which directly determines the quality of life in Dallas. We do this by fighting against the "defund the police" movement, holding accountable our city leaders' efforts towards lowering district crime rates, and highlighting our city's homelessness problems by pushing for enforcement of the prohibition of urban camping.
