BREAKING: Yesterday, Oregon Democratic Representative Val Hoyle decided to add legitimacy to Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy’s Slash & Burn Commission.

Rep. Hoyle joins Rep. Jared Moskowitz of Florida as the only Democrats, so far, to join the caucus.

This is a huge mistake. All Democrats who are engaging in this effort will do, is put bipartisan fingerprints on a Republican plot to slash our earned benefits, allowing Republican politicians to confuse voters about who to blame when benefits are cut, Social Security offices are closed, and the Medicare helpline is replaced with one of Elon’s AI chatbots.

We’re sending a message to Democrats: If you team up with the richest man on Earth in his effort to slash benefits, we will hold you accountable. We’re preparing to run billboard trucks in Hoyle and Moskowitz’s districts to let voters know whose side they’re on. But these trucks aren’t cheap. Democrats like Hoyle and Moskowitz may think that they can act as moderating forces, steering Elon away from our earned benefits. But the Washington Post reported that Elon and Trump are exploring ways to implement Elon’s cuts without Congressional approval―which means any member of this caucus will be left holding the bag for Elon’s whims. It’s not a democratic process―it’s a setup.
