It’s been just over a month since Election Day, and the disappointment of this year’s presidential race still stings. But let me be clear — I will never give up when it comes to fighting for our country, our state, and our community.
I’ve also been thinking about how grateful I am to live and raise a family in Colorado. Our state and its Democratic leaders are unafraid to stand up for what’s right — like safeguarding reproductive rights, investing in public schools, reducing gun violence, and prioritizing families over special interests.
And believe me when I say, I will continue to stand up for those fundamental priorities every single day, no matter who is in charge — because everyone, no matter where they live, deserves the freedom to pave their own path in life, the opportunity to get ahead, and the right to live free from discrimination.
When we come together and do our jobs well, we can get big things done. In just two short years in Congress, I’ve seen firsthand the real, concrete progress we can achieve when our leaders in government roll up their sleeves and get to work.
We’ve delivered millions of dollars to the district to support early childhood education. We’ve invested to build more affordable housing across Colorado. And we’ve taken action to protect the civil rights of all Coloradans.
Working under a Republican-controlled government wasn’t what I was hoping for coming into Election Day — but I won’t let that stop me from securing bipartisan progress, upholding our values, and fighting for Colorado families every single day.
If that kind of leadership speaks to you, I’d be grateful to have your support as our nation transitions to a new administration. I’ll never stop advocating for the people of Colorado, and grassroots support is crucial if we want to protect the progress we’ve made together.
