John —
When I need hope, I think of Kenneth Nixon.
Kenneth Nixon spent 16 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit.
Every day was a testament to his unwavering belief in his innocence, and to the incredible resilience of the human spirit. He never gave up.
In April 2021, Kenneth’s conviction was overturned, and he walked free as an innocent man.
Then Kenneth began an extraordinary mission: to change the system that tried to break him. He founded The Organization of Exoneers, a nonprofit dedicated to uplifting others who have been wrongfully incarcerated.
To turn his dream into reality, Kenneth joined the Dream.Org Empathy Network, where he learned how to build his organization from the ground up and make justice a reality for others just like him.
“I'm fresh out of a prison cell. I didn't know anything about forming a nonprofit, sending out mass emails, or being able to collect data on our supporters,” Kenneth shared. “Learning allowed me to take my organization to the next level.”
With your generous support, Kenneth now empowers countless others — giving the greatest gift of all: a second chance.
This holiday season, will you share the gift of second chances with Kenneth and others who have been hurt by America’s prison system? Thanks to the kindness of generous donors, every dollar you give is TRIPLED.
I see the hardships many of us have faced this year. I refuse to give up hope for those behind bars. And I refuse to give up on the transformative power of second chances.
Sometimes, all it takes is someone who believes in you to make your dreams a reality.
Give Second Chances TodayWith gratitude and determination,
