Join us tomorrow to defend immigrant communities

Dear Friends and Supporters,
On Tuesday, December 10th, Community Labor United, along with many of our partners, attended the official signing ceremony of the Economic Development Bill! This bill helps fight corporate greed and win good policy for our communities through creating opportunities to use Project Labor Agreements (PLAs) on publicly funded infrastructure projects.
The Green Justice Coalition–made up of our labor unions and community organizations–was critical in ensuring the bill passed with language that helps create a triple win on publicly funded infrastructure projects. PLAs can help ensure that the transition to a green economy creates good union careers (with fair wages, benefits and opportunities for on the job training), and accessible pathways into this work for women and people of color.
With PLAs on public infrastructure projects, Massachusetts can lead the way in fostering an economy that is just and sustainable. By supporting job creation, environmental sustainability, and equitable development, we can create a brighter future for all residents.
CALL TO ACTION:
Community Labor United asks you to join us and many other allies marching to support refugee and immigrant communities through a “Not One More” rally and march organized by the Asian American Resource Workshop (AARW). We are coming together to defend immigrant communities from deportation and criminalization. Stand with us in solidarity to demand protections for refugees and immigrants from our state and federal governments prior to Trump’s transition back into office!
When: TOMORROW Friday, December 13 starting at 3:30pm.
Where: Rally and march starting at JFK Federal Building, 15 Sudbury Street, Boston – next to Government Plaza and Bowdoin T station. We will then head to the State House for a second set of speakers.
We hope to see you there!
We’re Hiring!
