Colorado Leading The Nation In EV Sales |
Last week, I was proud to announce an exciting milestone for our State: Colorado is #1 in the nation for electric vehicle (EV) sales, with EVs making up more than a quarter of all new vehicles sold statewide.
We know that electric vehicles are quieter, cut pollution, are fun to drive, and protect Colorado’s beautiful outdoors—all while saving Coloradans money at the pump.
Together, we’re building a cleaner, more sustainable future for Colorado. Thank you for being part of this progress.

Building Brighter Futures Through Skills-Based Learning |
While in Las Vegas for a convening of the bipartisan National Governor’s Association, I was joined by Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo for a visit to the Southeast Career Technical Academy (SECTA), an award-winning high school in the Las Vegas area.
SECTA is a shining example of how connecting classroom learning to real-world applications prepares students for success in both higher education and the workforce. Through hands-on training in fields like manufacturing, cybersecurity, medicine, and more, students graduate with industry certifications, college credits, and practical skills that align with the needs of a modern economy.
As Chair of the National Governor’s Association, I launched the “Let’s Get Ready: Educating All Americans for Success” initiative to champion innovative educational approaches. Schools like SECTA and Colorado’s Rocky Mountain Prep Westwood and FutureForward Bollman Tech
are paving the way for future generations, equipping them to thrive in our rapidly changing world while strengthening our economy.

Decking the Halls: The Story Behind the Governor's Holiday Trees |

This year, the Colorado State Forest Service (CSFS) generously donated subalpine and white fir trees from the San Isabel National Forest and northern Larimer County to deck the halls of the Governor’s Mansion and the Capitol building. This past weekend, the Governor’s Mansion welcomed nearly 900 visitors to admire the festive holiday decor and learn the history of the residence.
🌲The Governor’s Mansion holiday trees were harvested from the San Isabel National Forest. This forest covers a few million acres across central Colorado, encompassing some of Colorado’s highest peaks, including Mount Elbert and the Collegiate Peaks.
🌲The tree standing in the Capitol’s rotunda was harvested at 8,500 feet in northern Larimer County on State Trust Land. Foresters selectively cut trees on the property to improve forest health and mitigate wildfire risk.

STATE AGENCY HIGHLIGHT
The Governor’s Office of Federal Funds and Strategic Initiatives leads Colorado’s efforts to maximize federal funding opportunities, ensuring every dollar creates meaningful impact. With a focus on managing $8.7 billion from the American Rescue Plan Act and an anticipated $10 billion from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the Inflation Reduction Act, the office works to secure funding, implement projects effectively, and advance strategic initiatives that strengthen Colorado’s communities and economy.
