As we prepare ourselves for the fight of a lifetime, I want to reintroduce myself to you. For all of us to win this fight, trust is critical. This work is personal and intimate—and protecting our bodies, our choices, and our futures should be done with care even when urgent. 

I come from a family of activists, some who are still shaking tables and bringing folding chairs. They raised and nurtured me into the big dreamer I am, and they taught me the value of pragmatism when trying to accomplish change.

I'm a lover of policy and politics, including spending most of my adult career working on the ground at a Black Reproductive Justice state organization increasing access to abortion, passing groundbreaking maternal health policy, and tackling environmental health toxins that damage the health of communities of color. 

Through my role at a national org, I saw the power of building intentional relationships and the importance of foundational infrastructure to success. I understand the power of a people-centered government and the role of institutions to create the conditions for wellness and joy. For all those reasons, I know a better future for all is worth fighting for.

I hope you agree.

With your support, we are reinforcing a right to bodily autonomy in cities, states, and nationally where no state or federal law can supersede or interfere with that right. We will double down in the fight for our democracy with vital court and voting reform, and other legislation key to realizing abortion justice. 

We're going to remove all restrictions on abortion care, including bans on insurance coverage for abortion care. And we're building spaces for our community to come together, find joy, and build power.
